Everything a league runs on

One place for the registrar, the treasurer, the scheduler, the referee-in-chief and the stats keeper — and for the parents, players and coaches on the other side.

📝

Registration & waivers

Build your form — dropdowns, private questions, emergency contacts — attach waivers signed with a typed signature, and open it on the dates you pick. Parents register every child from one account.

💳

Fees, paid online

Card payments land in your league’s own Stripe account. Cash and e-transfers are marked paid in a tap, and refunds go back to the card from the same screen.

📅

Schedule generator

Add your venues, weekly ice times and blackout dates and Game Day builds the season. Review it, publish it, and every coach is notified.

🦓

Officials, in bulk

Assign referees and scorekeepers game by game, or put one crew on every game in a date range, at a venue or on a weekday — preview first, then assign.

🏒

Digital game sheets

Coaches enter lineups, the scorekeeper logs goals, assists and penalties, and the sheet is signed off and locked. Nobody re-types a score.

🏆

Standings, stats & playoffs

Standings, scoring leaders and suspensions update themselves from the game sheets. The playoff bracket fills in all the way to the champion.

🌐

A league website

News, schedules, standings, team pages, stats and sponsors on a public site — with a Register button that opens your form.

📬

Coaches’ channel & email summary

A channel for every coach in the league, and a daily or weekly email for league staff: new registrations and payments, sheets still open, games without officials.

🤝

Connected to the team app

Teams see their league games on their own schedule, with a link to the game sheet — and keep Game Day’s RSVPs, balanced lines and spare call-ups for free.

How a season runs

From the first registration to the championship, every step feeds the next — nothing gets copied from one spreadsheet into another.

Set up the season

Divisions, venues with their ice times and blackout dates, the registration fee and the dates registration opens and closes.

Open registration

Players and parents fill in your form, sign the waivers and pay. You confirm each registration from one screen and invite the teams.

Publish the schedule

Generate the season around your ice, review it, publish it and assign officials. Coaches are notified and see their games straight away.

Play it out

Game sheets are signed at the rink; standings, leaders, suspensions and the playoff bracket — and the public site — keep themselves current.

The details a league gets asked about

Registration you can stand behind

Every waiver signature records the version that was signed, with the date, time and device. Change a waiver mid-season and Game Day creates a new version; earlier signatures stay attached to the exact text those people agreed to. Players under 18 need a parent or guardian’s consent, sent to the parent by email, before their registration is complete.

Open any registration to see every answer, each signed waiver and the payment trail. Print the signed record when someone asks for it, or export a spreadsheet with one column per question and per waiver.

Money in the league’s own account

Card payments go through Stripe Connect straight to your league’s own Stripe account — Game Day never holds the money, and your treasurer sees every payment in the league’s own Stripe dashboard. Cash and e-transfers are recorded against the same registrations, so the outstanding list is always the real one.

Private answers stay private

Free-text answers, phone numbers and email addresses are encrypted in the database by default — as is any question you mark as sensitive, like medical notes — and only league staff who manage registration can read them.

Game night without the paper

Coaches enter their lineups on the game sheet before puck drop. The scorekeeper records goals, assists and penalties, the scorekeeper and referee sign off, and the sheet locks. Standings, scoring leaders and suspensions — with games served — update the moment it does.

A league website that keeps itself current

Your public league site carries news, the schedule, standings, team pages, scoring leaders, the playoff bracket and your sponsors, all fed by the game sheets. It lives at its own Game Day address and links happily from any site you already have.

What it costs

League tools are free during early access — no licence and no per-player fee. When players pay online, Stripe’s standard processing fee and a Game Day fee of 3% (minimum $1, never more than $10 per registration) come out of the payment before it reaches your league’s Stripe account. Cash and e-transfers you record yourself cost nothing, and the team app stays free for every team in the league.

Questions

Frequently asked

What does Game Day cost for a league?

League tools are free during early access — no licence and no per-player fee. When players pay online, Stripe’s standard processing fee and a Game Day fee of 3% (minimum $1, never more than $10 per registration) come out of the payment before it reaches your league’s own Stripe account. Cash and e-transfers you record yourself cost nothing.

Can parents register more than one child?

Yes. Each child is a separate registration under the parent’s own account, and players under 18 need a parent or guardian’s consent before their registration is complete.

What happens if we change a waiver partway through the season?

Editing a waiver that people have already signed creates a new version. Earlier signatures stay attached to the exact text that was signed, together with the date, time and device, so the record always shows what each person agreed to.

Where does the registration money go?

Straight to your league’s own Stripe account through Stripe Connect — Game Day never holds it. You see every payment in your own Stripe dashboard, and refunds go back to the card from the registration screen.

Do our teams have to use Game Day as well?

Every team in the league is a Game Day team: coaches join by email invite, see their league games on their team schedule and enter lineups on the game sheet. The team app itself stays free, so teams can also use Game Day’s RSVPs, balanced lines and spare call-ups if they want them.

Can we keep our existing website?

Yes. Your league site lives at its own Game Day address and can be linked from the site you already have — or used as your main site if you don’t have one.

Is it only for hockey?

Game sheets, penalties, suspensions and playoffs are built around hockey, so ice and ball hockey leagues fit best. If you run another sport, book a demo and we’ll show you what fits.

How do we get started?

Book a demo. We’ll walk you through a complete sample league — registration, the schedule, a game night and the end-of-season results — and then switch league tools on for your account.
